Within the Podcast industry, there are third party companies such as Chartable that allow you to implement additional tracking or analytics of your show. Megaphone supports these through a custom prefix field – where you can enter a prefix that will affix to enclosure URL's in the RSS feed for your podcast.

Note: After you have established a relationship/account with the external company, they will instruct you to attach a prefix to the enclosure URLs in your RSS feed. Following the instructions below will prompt you on how to do so.

To get started navigate to the Podcast of interest. You can get there through the Podcasts tab on the left side bar, then select your Podcast.

After selecting your show, click on the Settings icon in the top right corner:

On the following page, click the “Megaphone Settings” tab then scroll down to the Feed Prefixes section:

Click on the toggle to “Enable custom prefix for your feed URLs”

Then, in the Prefixes box, add the prefix you would like inserted into your RSS feed. Be sure to not have any extra spaces or characters – the prefix should be exactly what you were given by your third party organization. Once you’ve entered the prefix, hit save at the top of the page.

Once you have this prefix saved, it will appear in your RSS Feed before each Enclosure tag. It should resemble the example given below (below is an example of a Chartable prefix):

As always, please reach out to Live Chat with any questions or for us to review your prefixes.

If you have a Podtrac and/or Spotify Ad Analytics prefix, click on the toggles within the Feed Prefixes section to enable them.
