Setting up Graphite Connect to get paid by Spotify

Set up your Graphite Connect profile with the tax and banking info we need to pay you for your Megaphone shows.

We use Graphite Connect, a supplier platform, to collect the tax and banking info we need to pay you. After you opt in to the Spotify Audience Network and/or the Spotify Partner Program , Graphite Connect sends you an email with a link to set up your profile.

Note: Already use Graphite Connect? We add an extension to your existing profile, so you only need to add the tax and banking info we ask for.

When you’re ready:

  1. Open the email from Graphite Connect and follow the link to accept the invite and create your profile.

  2. Confirm your country of registration.

  3. Fill out each page of your profile, using the sections below.

Filling out the Summary page

  • Business owner's full legal name: Your company's full legal name, exactly as it appears on your tax form. For example, "Example Media LLC", not "Example Media".

  • Do you do business under a company name?: Any other name your company goes by, like a trading name or DBA ("doing business as") name. If you don't have one, leave it blank. This should also appear exactly as stated in your tax form

  • Website URL: Your company's website. If you don't have one, enter http://na.com. Make sure there are no spaces before the URL, as they cause errors.

  • Number of employees: How many people work at your company. If you select more than 1, you need to add a second person from your company to approve your details.

  • DUNS Number: Your Duns & Bradstreet number, if you have one. If not, leave it blank.

Note: In the US, your DBA name must match the DBA name on your W-9. If it's blank on your W-9, leave it blank here too.

Filling out the Products and Services page

  • List the Products and Services you offer: Confirm the products and services your Spotify contact listed for you.

  • Industries: Select the industry that fits your company best.

Adding your business address on the Locations page

Enter your full business address. If you have more than 1 address, use your invoicing address.

You need to fill in at least:

  • Street address

  • City

  • State or region

  • Postal code

    • If your country doesn't use postal codes, enter 00000.

  • Country

Use your country's standard address format.

Filling out the Tax Information page

  • Country of Registration: The country your business is registered in. This decides which tax info and forms we ask for.

  • Tax Classification: US only. Select the classification that matches Box 3 of your W-9.

  • Legal name: Your company’s legal name, exactly as it appears on your tax form.

  • DBA name: Any other name your company goes by.

  • EIN/SSN: US only. Enter the number on your W-9.

  • Federal tax form: Upload your tax form. Publishers in the US need the latest W-9 from the IRS website. If a publisher outside the US is onboarded under Spotify USA Inc., they need to submit a W-8 form.

Note: Graphite Connect checks that your tax form is complete. If it's incomplete or doesn't match the info you entered, your setup is delayed.

Adding contacts on the Contact Information page

  • General Sales Contact: Optional. A contact for general sales questions.

  • What address should be displayed on orders and contracts?: Select an address you added on the Locations page. If you added more than 1, choose the one for your invoices.

  • General Order Contact: The name and email of your company's main contact. We use this contact if we need to reach you about your vendor or payment info. This contact also gets an invite to set up a Coupa Supplier Portal profile for purchase orders and invoicing.

Adding your bank account

We need accurate bank details to pay you. Bank Information shows the Spotify entity that pays you. Enter domestic or international bank details depending on that entity:

  • Domestic: Your bank is in the same country as the Spotify entity. For example, a UK publisher paid by Spotify Ltd (UK) enters a domestic sort code and account number.

  • International: Your bank is in a different country from the Spotify entity. For example, a UK publisher paid by Spotify USA enters an IBAN and SWIFT code.

If more than one Spotify entity pays you, or you plan to get paid in more than one currency, add a bank account for each. Note: all payments are made in USD.

Note: Spotify pays US accounts by ACH transfer, and payments outside the US are sent by wire transfer.By nominating Wire Payments your organization will be subject to a Wire transfer fee by your Bank. This fee varies by Bank and it will be deducted from the payment made by Spotify. To avoid this fee, please provide ACH information and select Domestic Bank Transfer in the payment method dropdown.

Approving your bank details and choosing entities

  • Approval and Notes: As a security measure, approval is required in order to submit banking details. If you are onboarding as a vendor with 1 employee, Graphite Connect Support will approve the details. If you have listed more than 1 employee, someone else from your company will be required to be added to your vendor profile to approve before submitting.

  • Bank Selection Per Entity: In order to be sure the bank(s) you are providing are being set up to be paid under the correct entity(s), select the appropriate bank under the entities listed. If you have one bank, only one will be available in the drop down to select. If you have multiple banks or entities, you can select the appropriate bank or multiple banks to be paid under the specific entity

  • Payment Terms: Our standard payment term is Net 30, which means we pay within 30 days. To accept, select Yes under Do you agree to accept Spotify standard payment terms of Net 30 days?
