The transition for promotions to Spotify's ad technology happens in phases, with a pre-booking period beginning May 15, 2026. What to do before the transition
Promotions starting and ending before July 15, 2026
No action needed. These promotions will complete their flights before the transition.
Promotions starting after July 15, 2026
These must be booked using the new promotions experience during the pre-booking period.
Starting May 15, navigate to Promotions in Megaphone
Use the new booking experience to set up the promotion.
If this promotion was previously set up using the legacy booking experience, you will need to re-book it using the new experience before July 14, 2026. If this is not done, the original promotion will automatically end and will not deliver.
Promotions starting before July 15 and ending after July 15, 2026
To minimize disruption, we recommend booking two flights:
Version 1: Book using the legacy experience and set the end date to July 14, 2026
Version 2: Pre-book using the new experience with a start date of July 15, 2026
If the promotion has already been booked, update the end date to July 14, 2026 to serve as version 1, then pre-book a new version to start on July 15, 2026.
