How to Create a Private Marketplace (PMP) Deal

You can create Private Marketplace (PMP) deals in Megaphone. Before you start, make sure your org admin has accepted the service terms.

Step 1: Navigate to the Private Marketplace tab

Go to Campaigns and select Private Marketplace at the top of the page.

Step 2: Create a new deal

Click Create Deal to begin. This will take you to the deal creation page.

Step 3: Fill in the deal details

Complete the following fields:

  • Deal Name: Enter a deal name

  • Seat ID: Enter the seat ID provided by the advertiser's DSP.

  • DSP: Select the DSP the advertiser is using. Supported at launch: The Trade Desk, Google DV360, Magnite, Yahoo, Amazon.

    • Note: If The Trade Desk is selected as the DSP, an additional field called Known Agent ID (KAID) will appear. This value is the same as the Seat ID.

  • Ad Format: Select audio or video. This cannot be changed after the deal is created.

  • Floor Price and Currency: Set the minimum bid the advertiser must exceed to participate in the auction.

Step 4: Schedule the flight dates

Select the timezone, start date and time, and end date and time for the deal.

Note: The maximum duration for a PMP deal is 2 years.

Step 5: Select targeting and exclusion parameters

On behalf of your advertiser, set targeting and exclusion preferences.

  • Content targeting: Target by show or episode (one category at a time, up to 200 selections). Content exclusions are also supported.

  • Audience targeting: Available if audience targeting is enabled for your Organization.

Step 6: Submit and review

Review all deal details. If you need to make changes, click Back to return to the previous page and update. When everything looks correct, click Submit.

Step 7: Find the deal in the Marketplace tab

Once created, your deal will appear in the Private Marketplace tab. From here, you can review key details at a glance, including:

  • Seat ID

  • DSP

  • Floor price

  • Deal status

Managing your PMP deals

  • PMP deals cannot be deleted. To stop a deal from running, you can pause or archive it. Archived deals remain viewable.

  • Deal status in Megaphone reflects whether the deal is live on the publisher’s side. The advertiser must confirm live status through their DSP.

  • Ad delivery and engagement data is sent directly to the advertiser through their DSP. You will receive impression delivery metrics in Megaphone.
