Episode Manager is a way for you to manage and optimize monetization for your catalog at scale. Within the Episode Manager, you can take several actions across your catalog of episodes.
Using the Episode Manager
To find the Episode Manager:
Go to megaphone.spotify.com and log into your account.
Click Podcasts.
Click the Episodes tab.
Searching and filtering
Navigate to the search bar to quickly locate episodes by title. Results can be refined by publish status (draft, scheduled, live), publish date range, podcast, network, or format (audio/video).
Filters can be accessed by clicking on Filters which expands to a panel with filtering options. You can filter multiple ways:
Filter episodes with missing files that have upcoming publish dates that require attention before going live by selecting “Needs Media” on Content Type and Publishing Status as Draft.
Filter episodes by whether ad locations are set to ensure you can add ad locations to maximize monetization and determine if any episodes are eligible for Smart Ads where automated mid-rolls can be enabled.
Taking bulk actions
The Episode Manager view allows for bulk actions to be taken including the ability to:
1. Select across different podcasts and generate a comparative report.
2. Select multiple episodes and apply Smart Ads in bulk.
