We’re making it easier and more secure for publishers to access Megaphone by introducing Spotify Login—an optional authentication method that allows users to log into Megaphone using their existing Spotify credentials.
This update builds on the success of the 2024 Megaphone–Spotify for Creators (S4C) account linking feature, which saw over 1,000+ accounts linked, across top large enterprise customers. With Spotify Login, publishers can enjoy a streamlined sign-in experience, improved security, and the foundation for a unified publisher identity across Spotify’s creator tools.
Spotify Login helps publishers:
Save time by using one set of credentials across Spotify creator tools
Enhance security with multi-factor authentication (MFA)
Reduce friction when accessing features like S4C analytics and growth tools
Prepare for the future as we move toward a unified publisher login experience across the Spotify ecosystem where Spotify Login will be mandatory as of April 2026.
What’s changing with this update:
Publishers now have the option to log into Megaphone using their Spotify account. Depending on their account status, the login experience will vary:
For existing linked Megaphone users:
If already logged into Spotify, clicking “Continue with Spotify” takes them directly to their Megaphone homepage.
If not logged into Spotify, they will be prompted to sign in before being redirected to Megaphone.
For users not yet linked to Spotify:
Clicking “Continue with Spotify” launches the linking flow.
Confirm linking Spotify account to Megaphone in the modal. Users will need to set up a Spotify account linked to their Megaphone email address rather than linking to a Spotify personal account.
Once confirmed, you are redirected to the Megaphone homepage.
Users switch Spotify accounts anytime by navigating to User Settings and clicking on Switch account
For new users joining via email invite:
They can choose “Continue with Spotify” during onboarding, complete the OAuth sign-up and linking flow, and be taken to Megaphone.
How it works:
Users can log in to Megaphone by clicking Continue with Spotify and signing in with their Spotify credentials.
New users will be prompted to link their Spotify account to Megaphone, while existing linked users will be taken directly to their Megaphone homepage, with the option to switch accounts anytime in User Settings.
For existing linked Megaphone users:
Navigate to Megaphone login page
Select Continue with Spotify
Sign in to Spotify (if not already signed in)
If already signed in, click Continue
Get redirected to your Megaphone homepage
For users not yet linked to Spotify:
Navigate to Megaphone login page
Select Continue with Spotify
Sign in to Spotify (if not already signed in)
If already signed in, click Continue
Note: We should encourage users to use their Megaphone accounts. If it is a personal account, the user should setup a new Spotify account.
