After accessing the new view for reporting and filtering for the podcast(s) and date range you'd like displayed, you can then dig into the five main reports. This article will cover the Geolocation Performance section, which covers downloads by the location of your listeners at the Country, Region, DMA or City level.

1. Managing the Geolocation Performance Report

The report will initially load at the Country level, but you can toggle to display at the Regional, City or DMA level.

The top 10 geolocations for your given filter will display in the report. We report when we have IP information accurate enough to display, therefore if an IP is obscured or unknown it will be grouped as "Unknown." You can also scroll around the map and hover to see clusterings of your listeners top locations.

The map will be displayed in accordance with the overall date filter you've selected for the page. For example, if you have selected only the past 30 days for the page overall, only 30 days of geolocation data will display.

On this report, you can see the geolocation titles, the total downloads for the geolocation listed, and the percentage that each location makes of the total downloads.

2. Export the Report

You can export the report for the range selected by pushing the export button. A CSV will automatically download to your machine.

3. Expand the Report to Explore Further

At the bottom of the report, click the Geolocation Report link to open an additional view to explore the report in more detail.

You'll then be taken to an expanded view:

For this report, you can either distinguish if it should be applied to overall podcasts or specific episodes:

Click the Add Podcasts or Add Episodes button on the left side to open a modal where you can search for specific podcasts or episodes and then select within those fields. Once you've selected all the podcasts or episodes you'd like included, hit "Select" to confirm.

After selecting the podcasts or episodes you'd like included in the report, select the date range in the top right corner, click "Apply" and select "Run Report".

You'll then see a Geolocation Performance report for the podcasts or episodes and date range selected.

If you are looking for a specific location, such as how many downloads came from Canada, you can search in the "Search locations" box.

This report can be displayed by day, week, month, quarter or year.

Similarly, the view can be toggled to display data at the Country, Region, DMA or City level.

The report can be ordered by geolocation title,  downloads, or date by clicking on the header (two arrows represent ordering fields).

Once the report is formatted as you'd like, you can export the data in the top right corner by pushing the downward arrow.
