The Geolocation Performance report is accessible from within your reporting dashboard under the "Reports" tab. This article will cover the Geolocation Performance section, which covers downloads by the location of your listeners at the Country, Region, DMA or City level.
1. Managing the Geolocation Performance Report
The report will initially load at the Country level, but you can toggle to display at the Regional, City or DMA level.
The top 10 geolocations for your given filter will display in the report. We report when we have IP information accurate enough to display, therefore if an IP is obscured or unknown it will be grouped as "Unknown." You can also scroll around the map and hover to see clusterings of your listeners top locations.
The map will be displayed in accordance with the overall date filter you've selected for the page. For example, if you have selected only the past 30 days for the page overall, only 30 days of geolocation data will display.
On this report, you can see the geolocation titles, the total downloads for the geolocation listed, and the percentage that each location makes of the total downloads.
2. Export the Report
You can export the report for the range selected by pushing the export button. A CSV will automatically download to your machine.
In certain cases, depending on the amount of data queried, the report may require an extended time to process. In these cases, after clicking the download button, Megaphone will display a prompt letting you know that the report is processing. Once processing is complete, a report download link will be delivered via email to the email address associated with your account. Selecting the link in this email will start the download of the report. If your report falls under these conditions, you will see the following visual prompt displayed in Megaphone:
