The Megaphone Targeted Marketplace (MTM) allows publishers on Megaphone to monetize unsold inventory. To explore MTM in more detail, please read this article. The purpose of this article is to guide you through the submission process. In order to have your Podcast considered for the MTM, the Podcast needs to be hosted on the Megaphone platform.

To submit your podcast for consideration please complete this form. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis, however if you submit your Podcast(s) at the very end of the month, they will only be reviewed in the next months opt-ins batch (i.e. a show submitted on the 28th will not be reviewed until the following month's opt in period).

Typically around the 25-27th of the month, all submissions are reviewed and a determination is processed. Once that determination has been posted, Support will contact you regarding whether or not your submission(s) have been opted into MTM.

After approval, the contracts team will work with you on getting an MTM addendum created. The MTM addendum applies to the entire organization, however only the submitted podcasts will be opted in.

Each podcast can set price floors for each MTM ad, (the gear icon for podcasts in Megaphone) additionally entire categories of ads can be prevented from running. This sheet details the current categories eligible for exclusion.

In order for MTM ads to run, please ensure that there is at least one available ad location in each episode (but we recommend having a pre and a mid roll location available). MTM will always run secondary to any ads that your organization has setup via the Campaigns tab, but before promos setup via the Promos tab.

Upon being officially opted into MTM and receiving impressions, you will receive a statement from our team on the 20th of the month for the previous complete month. This report will breakdown each advertiser that ran on your podcast, the amount of impressions received from that advertiser, and respective CPMs.
